Gerry O’Connor has been performing since the 1980s, with the tenor banjo player releasing four solo albums over a stellar career. He also plays mandolin, fiddle, guitar and tenor guitar, and will be joined for a memorable night of music as part of TradFest 2026.
He joined The Dubliners for a brief period following the sudden death of Barney McKenna in 2012, with McKenna himself saying Gerry O’Connor was his “best pupil ever.” Over two decades later, Gerry O’Connor & Friends will celebrate the master of the tenor banjo.
