Rónán Ó Snodaigh is a bodhrán player, singer and poet, best known as the driving rhythmic force and frontman of Kíla, the band he co-founded. One of the instrument’s great innovators, he transformed the bodhrán from accompaniment into a lead voice. Alongside Kíla’s four decades of work, he has built a rich solo catalogue, and his recent albums with producer Myles O’Reilly have earned some of the warmest acclaim of his career. He performs in Irish and English, with a presence entirely his own.
