Artist Bio

Founded in October 2010 by five local women, the Skerries Sea Sharps is a vibrant choir based in the bustling fishing village of Skerries, North County Dublin. Embracing the motto “sing yourself out of the blues,” the choir has been spreading joy through music for over a decade. Over the years, the choir was shaped and inspired by a series of talented musical directors. Each brought their own distinctive style and energy, enriching the choir’s repertoire and instilling a shared love of singing.

Their diverse approaches helped foster a fun, inclusive environment where members could explore music in multiple languages and genres. The choir rehearses weekly at the local community centre and performs regularly throughout the year at a wide range of events and venues.
