Aisling Lyons is a multi-award-winning musician and composer from County Clare, an eight-time All-Ireland champion hailed as “the finest Irish harper at work today” by Songlines. Her acclaimed 2021 debut album Aistear drew praise across the folk press — “a standout record, flawless” (Hot Press) — and earned nominations for Best Folk Instrumentalist and Best Emerging Artist at the 2022 RTÉ Radio 1 Folk Awards.
A graduate of the University of Limerick with First Class Honours in Irish Music, she has tutored harp at the Irish World Academy and University College Cork, and is a sought-after harp and concertina teacher at festivals worldwide. Her recent work spans collaborations with Ukrainian bandurist Kseniia Rusnak, an appearance at Other Voices in 2025, and residencies from the Tyrone Guthrie Centre to Áras Éanna on Inis Oírr — with 2026 bringing the premiere of a new Bill Whelan work for four harps at Féile na Tána, and her touring storytelling show with seanchaí Aindrias de Staic.
